Ripley Castle and Gardens, situated 3 miles from Harrogate in North Yorkshire on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, is an historic attraction open to the public all year round and makes for a fascinating and entertaining day out, in a beautiful location, with memorable surroundings.

Friday 21st June: Castle Tours at 11am, 12.15pm with the last tour at 1.30pm
Saturday 13th July: Castle and Gardens CLOSED for private event
Saturday 17th August: Last Castle Tour 12 noon, Gardens close at 1.15pm for private event
Friday 23rd August: Castle and Gardens CLOSED for private event
General Castle Opening Times
Entry is by Guided Tour Only
January, February and December: Weekends only, Castle Tours at 11.00am, 12.30pm & 2.00pm
April to October, Weekends and School Holidays: Castle Tours hourly from 11.00am to 3.00pm,
April to October, Term Time Weekdays only: Castle Tours at 11.00am, 12.30pm and 2.00pm
March and November: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays: Castle Tours at 11.00am, 12.30pm and 2.00pm
Garden Opening Times
Open daily throughout the year (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, & New Years Day)
9.00am - 5.00pm (4.30pm winter months).
Special guided tours of the gardens with our Gardener take place monthly from March to September and weekly during August.
Our Ripley Castle Guides have tailor-made a tour especially for children. These tours are entertaining, engaging and fun and available at 11.45am and 1.45pm every Saturday and Sunday between 23rd March and 3rd November and daily during the schools holidays (excluding February half term and the Christmas break). The tour takes approximately 45 minutes and are specifically geared for children aged 5 -16 years with their family. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
