The Bike Cave | Driffield
The Bike Cave has now evolved! We now have a fully functioning cafe with seating for 30 and indoor bike parking. We serve high quality loose leaf tea, fresh ground organic coffee and a wide selection of both hot and cold food. Ideally located on the way of the Roses and and excellent timed venue for lunch, before your last push to Bridlington, we welcome groups large or small, however large groups are recommend to call in advance for a quick turnaround.
I have worked in the cycle trade for the last 12+years. I started as a apprentice mechanic and gained full NVQ Cytech qualifications. I then moved on to a more senior role which involved more bikes sales, combined with workshop management. This then progressed into managing a second shop for the company I worked for. Along the way I have gained extensive underpinning knowledge of a industry that has many constantly changing and evolving disciplines and technologies.
A few years ago I also used to road race and time trial, however in recent years this has taken some what of a back seat due to family commitments. Mountain biking has always been a big part of my life too, I have competed in xc races and mountain bike orienteering competitions in the past with varying success. I have always ridden a mountain for fun, and have ridden at trail centres throughout wales, the peak district and in the French Alps.
The Bike Cave philosophy:
Basic, straight forward good old fashioned quality customer service. This means knowledgeably informing and guiding customers towards the correct parts, accessories, servicing or new bike that suites their needs perfectly.
The Bike Cave has a fully functioning workshop and can complete anything from a puncture repair to a full custom spec bike build. Whatever your needs, come in and discuss the options. We have a large stock of parts and accessories, however if you prefer to buy online and supply us the parts will happily fit them to your cycle.
At The Bike Cave we welcome everyone with open arms, complete novice to semi-pro super-keen road racer, town bike to triathlon speed machine are all welcome.
The Bike Cave is proud to be a true independent bike shop, and is not tied into a particular bike and accessory brand.
Here at The Bike Cave we do not stock the shop to the rafters with an obscene amount of bikes. If we do not have what is required in stock, we can source the correct model for the customers individual needs and wants.
The Bike Cave is here to serve and support and grow the local cycling community of East Yorkshire.
The Bike Cave loves feedback, so please if you have any, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
“Great pit stop on the final part of the Way of the Roses Coast to Coast”
Got new cleats fitted to my cycling shoes whilst we relaxed over good food and drink. Friendly service, great location, racks to park your bikes INSIDE the shop/café!
“Tour de yorkshire!”
Today was absolutely fantastic, watching and cheering on the tour de yorkshire participants! The race went straight past the bike shop and we loved it! We had the busiest day yet in the cafe and we hope to see many more faces over the weekend for phase 2 and 3!!
“Cakes and Cycles”
Popped in for a quick repair to my bike and took full advantage of some wonderful coffee and a lovely bacon butty.....Great service and fantastic shop.....looking forward to returning for one of their monster breakfasts.
“Bike ride and coffee break”
Just been for a bike ride and fancied a bite to eat and a drink. The Bike Cave offers safe, in shop parking for your bikes, a great relaxing atmosphere and great food. A good range of hot and cold foods available and service is first rate from pleasant helpful staff. Also has a good range of cakes.
Excellent combination of bike shop and cafe! Great range of bikes and bike parts available in shop at the rear of the cafe. First class! I will be visiting regularly! Would highly recommend a visit to anyone who appreciates good coffee/tea/food (and cycling).
