The Blacksmith’s Arms | Naburn

The Blacksmith’s Arms is situated in the riverside village of Naburn, on the outskirts of York. The pub has been in existence since 1750, it is a warm and friendly pub with a mixture of both locals and visitors alike. The pub has two enclosed beer gardens, which are just perfect for passing a relaxing afternoon away in the summer. In the colder months you will find a roaring fire in the fireplace with customers sat around enjoying the atmosphere. We take great pride in the food that we serve. Whether you are popping in for a quick snack or a 3 course meal we are sure The Blacksmiths Arms will be a place you will want to keep coming back to.

News, Events and Offers

“Great place to meet up with friends”

Having arranged to meet up with friends from Tasmania who were staying in York and who we met at the Askham Bar Park & Ride, we made our way here for a meal. It turned out to be the right choice for a good meal served up by very pleasant staff. We certainly aim to return back here in the future !

“Superb salad”

We visited here as it was the only place that was walkable from a campsite we were at. The people at the site said it was very expensive but on reading the menu, the prices didn't seem out of order when compared to anywhere else. We had the crayfish and poached salmon salad and it was absolutely superb. It came with chips and proper homemade coleslaw. It was absolutely delicious. I would happily travel the 2 hours from home to have that salad again - that's how good it was.

“Excellent village pub”

After a walk in the hot sun nearby an advert board pointed us to this typical village pub for a drink and lunch snack . The outside capacity of tables on grass was good and well spaced.Although we were not looking for anything substantial we saw other people's food coming out and the various sandwiches were stuffed with fillings and bowl of chips looked great .The service was excellent with pleasant barmaid and excellent beer. A pub well worth a visit.

“Lovely pizza”

Haven't been here for a few years, had a lovely meat feast pizza and they boxed up what I couldn't manage for me to take home.

“Relaxed meal”

We came here early evening for a meal and a drink and we brought our dog with us, the staff were relaxed and friendly, all low key, it had a nice feeling. The food portions were huge, all cooked fresh and really nice. The pub was dog friendly having an area to the rear suitable for us.
